On Saturday we headed back up to Boston for Jay and John's baby shower, which had actually been scheduled for the prior weekend, but was rescheduled on account of the snow storm. The shower was really well attended for being two days before Christmas. We were really excited to catch up with Heath and other old friends. It was also a great chance for us to meet some of the other folks who have become important to Jay and John over the past year.
Over brunch Sunday morning we had our first present exchange of the holiday season. We cracked up when we opened a card with a wad of New Zealand dollars inside. It was really the perfect present - super useful, and it takes up none of our luggage allowance.
