September 19, 2008 - Sanur, Bali, Indonesia

Yesterday we decided that it would be nice to spend Suzy's last day in Bali relaxing at one of the hotels in Sanur, the resort town just north of Serangan, before she began her 36 hour long marathon of flights back to Rhode Island. Rather than schlepping back and forth to the boat and trying to find transport to the hotel from the harbor, it seemed easiest to get a room - that way Suzy could shower and leave right from the hotel. We had a great day, relaxing and having lunch by the pool. After Suzy left, Sten and I enjoyed watching TV and spending one last night in air conditioned comfort before returning to the boat.

Over the complementary buffet breakfast this morning, we were talking about how much fun we had hanging out at the pool yesterday and decided to do it again today. These last few weeks have been such a vacation for us. It has been so much fun to mix it up a bit by alternating between staying on the boat and at hotels. And we've really enjoyed having Suzy around. She has been a great sounding board for us as we try to figure out where to go when we leave Thailand in a few months.
